    What is the longest delay time that can be achieved with Nautilus? From the manual I see the slowest clock rate is .25Hz so 15bpm which would be 4 seconds. Wondering how this works out with the resolution knob. I see resolution divides as low as two bars. Assuming these are based on 4:4 timing, 2 bars would be 8 beats? would that mean a single delay line would have a delay of 32 seconds at min clock rate and min resolution? Or am I understanding resolution wrong? I'm hoping for around 8 seconds of delay so I can do Frippertronics style looping but with that qubit special sauce on top. Thanks!

    • @QuBitElectronix
      @QuBitElectronix 10 днів тому

      The perceivable max delay time is ~20 seconds per channel, so you should be able to achieve that with a slow clock rate and Resolution!

    7:47 I think you mean when Dividing you need 2 pulses to advance 1 step no? That’s how it works when using Bloom. Div 2 = 2 clock pulse per each step sequence.

    • @QuBitElectronix
      @QuBitElectronix 3 місяці тому

      The wording here is a bit tricky, but correct. In order for Bloom to know what clock rate it needs to multiply, it requires two pulses from the external clock. Bloom reads the time between the two pulses, calculates the clock rate from that, then multiplies the clock rate to advance the sequence. Let us know if that makes sense!

    • @domtak
      @domtak 3 місяці тому

      That makes sense. I do like how Bloom advances 1:1 (and divides) per pulse as it means you can send in some really wonky clocks and it happily keeps track. Nice!@@QuBitElectronix

    • @richarquis

      @lectronix I will! Since you're on the line, I have a question re: Nebulae V2. I already have MI Beads, MN Morphagene, and 1010 Bitbox Mk2. Beads and Morphagene are totally different animals, and Bitbox although it can work at a granular level, really isn't designed for that. Nebulae looks good because it has a much longer record time, and if I use that up, I can just transfer it into the Bitbox card which is huge. So, I'm asking myself, is there a reason to buy the Nebulae V2, and my first answer is, given all the alternate firmwares, hell yeah. However, there are very few videos showing the V2 in action in its native firmware, and I have yet to look for videos of the alternate firmwares. Are there any resources you can point me to? Or is it just functionally the same as V1, but with improved processing/buffer size or such, in which case the V1 videos would suffice? Oh, and if I did choose it, are there alternate panels available for those firmwares?

    seems pretty cool. One question- with the with the PATH, BRANCHES, and MUTATION knobs, do they only change CV (v/oct) values or can they also introduce changes to the gate trigger pattern as well?

    • @QuBitElectronix
      @QuBitElectronix 4 місяці тому

      Branches and Paths will introduce both CV and Gate On/Off variations, but are separate from the main trunk sequence. Mutation will only affect the CV, but it's destructive to the main trunk sequence. It's not permanently destructive however; you can revert back to your original sequence by holding SHIFT and pressing the RESET button. Hope this helps!

      Great question! Mojave isn't intentionally playing chords per say, but it is quantizing the grains to a selected scale. The grains are big enough to overlap one another, creating pseudo chord washes. The scale is chosen by the Sky Mode button (the sun button in between the Distribute and Scale knobs). The default scales are Major (blue), Minor (green), and Chromatic (gold). Twilight Mode, the purple mode, is always unquantized. You can swap out the scales using our Narwhal web app, which we will be showcasing in our next video!
